On May 9, 2023, the international study seminar was held: “Hate Speech and Conspiracy Theories Against and Within Religions.
A Challenge for the Future of Europe”, organized by Prof. Silvia Cristofori.
The seminar explored the relationship between hate speech and conspiracy fantasies, looking not only at the current context of information disorder but also, and above all, at the continuity and changes with which this connection has occurred in European religious history .

Three scholars of international importance were invited to give a lectio magistralis on these topics: Josefin Graef, author of an important volume on the European far right, Michael Hagemeister, one of the greatest historians of the Protocols of Zion, Alberto Melloni, UNESCO chair for the Religious Pluralism and Peace and Chief Scientific Advisors of the European Commission.
